The 2022 Beta Phi Mu scholarship season is now CLOSED. The Beta Phi Mu Scholarship Review Committee meets during May and recipients are announced at the Beta Phi Mu Business Meeting and Member Reception held in conjunction with the ALA Annual Meeting in June.

The Reed scholarship is awarded annually to a student beginning library/information studies in an ALA accredited program.

Number of Awards:
Up to two. In 2019, one Reed Scholarship was awarded.

Description
The Reed scholarship is awarded annually to a student beginning library/information studies in an ALA accredited program.
Requirements:
- Applicant must have been admitted to a graduate program in Library and Information Studies accredited by the American Library Association and have completed no more than 12 credits by the application deadline.
- One page autobiography. Applicants are judged upon several factors but the autobiographical piece is of prime importance.
- Up-to-date transcripts from all institutions of higher learning.
- Three letters of recommendation from academic instructors, employers, and/or supervisors of paid or volunteer work experience.
- Current Resume or Vita.
