BALLOT QUESTION 4: For by-laws changes to ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP, Section 1: Membership
Rationale
As the Beta Phi Mu board transitions to a “working board” model (i.e., no Executive Director after August 31, 2021), and as the board seeks to improve the revenue generation, we are seeking to amend the by-laws to achieve three specific purposes:
- To remove references to an Executive Director and reassign tasks to regular board members.
- To add language covering the increase of revenue through an “active member” designation which includes a dues/fee structure.
- To extend the terms of all board members to three years which will in the short term ease the transition to the working board model, and in the long term provide increased continuity in operations.
If you accept or reject ALL of the nineteen (19) recommended changes and only wish to vote “once,” do so under the “GLOBAL VOTING” section on the 2021 BPM ballot. If you would prefer to vote on each change individually, then select the option to proceed through the ballot and vote to either “ACCEPT” or “REJECT” each change, which are listed below.
