Beta Phi Mu, the international library and information studies honor society, will be holding its annual business meeting and membership reception on Friday, June 24, 2022 from 4:00-5:30 PM at the Marriott Marquis Hotel (Headquarters Hotel), Archives room, in conjunction with the American Library Association Annual Conference in Washington, DC. This event is Beta Phi Mu's annual membership meeting and networking event, and also serves as an opportunity for new Beta Phi Mu members to participate in an initiation ceremony if they were unable to attend one at their home institution.

RSVP to headquarters@betaphimu.org if you plan to attend. Please also let us know if you wish to be initiated or if you will be representing your chapter.

You may also join us via Zoom:
When: Jun 24, 2022 04:00 PM Eastern Time (US and Canada)
Register in advance for this meeting:
https://illinois.zoom.us/meeti...
After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Sponsorship

At this time, I would like to ask for your institution's sponsorship for this event. We expect more than one hundred Beta Phi Mu members and friends to join us for this special occasion. Your gift will show your support of the "best and brightest" in the LIS profession, remind your alumni of your contribution to their success, and serve as a connection to alumni living at a distance from your institution. All sponsors will be acknowledged on the Beta Phi Mu website, listed in the event program, displayed on table toppers at registration, and thanked from the podium at our business meeting. You may also send branded "giveaways" for distribution at this event if you wish to do so. Here are our sponsorship categories: DIAMOND ($500), PLATINUM ($300), GOLD ($200), and SILVER ($100). Your sponsorship contribution may be made in the form of a check payable to "Beta Phi Mu" and sent to our headquarters office in Davie, Florida (Beta Phi Mu Honor Society, PO Box 292992, Davie, FL 33329-2992), or contact us by email at headquarters@betaphimu.org to arrange for credit card payment and/or invoicing. We would appreciate receiving your program's contribution by June 10, 2022.
Thank you for your commitment to LIS education and for your support of the Beta Phi Mu Honor Society. Please visit our new website at www.betaphimu.org for more information about our organization and its activities. Please contact headquarters staff with any questions or comments you may have.
